Approach to Therapy

My approach to counseling is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and centers on meeting each individual where they are in their healing process. I create a safe, supportive space by honoring the impact of trauma without ever rushing or re-traumatizing clients. Sessions are collaborative and empower my clients to have an active voice in their goals and treatment choices, focusing on trust, safety, and open dialogue. Drawing on specialized experience supporting military service members, veterans, and their families, I use proven methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, and mindfulness-based interventions to help clients understand, process, and move forward from traumatic experiences. My practice views each person holistically—considering their strengths, challenges, and unique background—and always strives for culturally responsive care that recognizes the complexity of military and post-service transitions. In every session, my goal is to foster resilience, help clients build effective coping skills, and support post-traumatic growth. I am committed to partnering with my clients to find pathways to healing, personal growth, and improved overall well-being.
