Approach to Therapy

As a former foster child, Leandra has a personal understanding of trauma, attachment, and generational patterns that impact mental health. This lived experience allows her to connect deeply with her patients and provide care that treats the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. This lived experience allows her to connect deeply with her patients and provide care that is empathetic, culturally informed, and focused on healing and resilience. She approaches care through a social justice lens, and believes healthcare should be equitable, inclusive, and accessible to everyone — regardless of background, identity, or circumstance. She considers social factors, lived experience, and systemic barriers just as important as symptoms and diagnoses.
