Approach to Therapy
My approach is warm, grounded, and practical. I use EMDR and EMDR 2.0 to help the brain process trauma and overwhelming experiences in a safe and effective way. I also draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you understand the different parts of yourself and build more compassion and balance within. For day-to-day coping and clarity, I incorporate DBT and CBT to support emotional regulation, healthier thinking, and real-life skill building. Solution-Focused Therapy helps us highlight your strengths and move toward what’s already working, while a values-based approach helps you reconnect with what matters most so your choices and relationships feel aligned and intentional. With couples, I primarily use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), CBCT, and elements of the Gottman Method to strengthen communication, repair cycles of conflict, and rebuild connection. With families, I integrate EFT and Structural Family Therapy (SFT) to improve family dynamics, boundaries, and relationships, helping everyone feel understood and supported. My goal is to make therapy feel clear, collaborative, and genuinely helpful as you navigate whatever life is bringing your way.
