Joshua Everett
The therapeutic journey is one that requires commitment and a bond that leads to trust and understanding. My goal is to provide each individual I serve an environment that is safe and confidential to share their story and true self. I use a person-centered, strength-based approach that puts you in the driver seat of your own treatment and I am the facilitator guiding you through each step. I believe that the feelings we experience (sadness, anger, fear, frustration, etc.) can be linked back to a root cause that needs to be addressed. I help you uncover, address, and cope with those circumstances. I began my journey in counseling in 2010 working with individuals and families in a home and community based setting and eventually added training and supervising other therapist. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy as my main treatment methods. In order to move on, you must understand why you felt what you did and why you no longer need to feel it. - Mitch Albom
