Morgan deAmezola, MS, LMHC, LCPC, LPC, QS, is a multi-licensed and experienced counselor with a diverse background. With a BA in art from Illinois Wesleyan University and an MS in art therapy from Illinois State University, Morgan brings a unique perspective to therapy, blending creativity with evidence-based practices. She also studied Counselor Education at Lindsay Wilson College in Kentucky and Hodges University in Florida. She completed coursework to become a Grief Educator in 2024. Licensed as a Counselor and Qualified Supervisor in Florida, with additional licenses in Illinois, New Jersey and South Carolina, Morgan is well-equipped to serve a broad clientele. She enjoys educating people about nutrition and mental health and as an esophageal cancer survivor, she facilitates a cancer support group for women. Morgan's philosophy centers on empowerment, encouragement, and the belief in growth within every struggle. With previous experience in substance abuse treatment centers and a background in sales management, teaching, and nonprofit administration, Morgan brings a wealth of diverse experience to her practice. Based in Palmetto Bay, Florida, Morgan operates a private practice, offering virtual sessions and innovative walk-and-talk therapy. Grateful for her own journey to sobriety and as a cancer survivor, Morgan understands firsthand the importance of resilience and hope. Specializing in substance abuse, grief, medical stressors, anxiety, depression, and life changes, Morgan employs a blend of Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical-Behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused approaches. She also integrates the 12-steps, spirituality and various self-care models into her practice. In her free time, Morgan enjoys activities such as running, cycle classes, concerts and spending quality time with her spouse and family, as well as their dog and two cats. Her dedication to personal wellness and connection further enriches her ability to support others on their growth and healing journeys.
