Gevonna Graves Worney
ICAADC
I provide trauma informed therapy grounded in cultural humility, with a commitment to supporting BIPOC and Indigenous individuals and communities. I recognize that mental health and substance use concerns are often shaped by lived experience, systemic inequities, and intergenerational trauma. My approach honors each client's culturalI identity, resilience, and strengths while offering evidence-based care in a respectful, nonjudgmental space. Raised in a two-parent household rooted in Christian values of integrity, accountability, and compassion, I bring consistency, respect, and authenticity into my clinical work. I collaborate closely with clients to support healing, emotional regulation, and sustainable change at a pace that feels safe and empowering.
Areas of Expertise
Therapeutic Approach
My work is grounded in the understanding that substance use is rarely the core problem --it is often a response to unresolved trauma, chronic stress, physical abuse or emotional abuse, or roots of rejection as a child. With decades of experience in addiction and mental health treatment, I integrate evidence-based practices with Christian based interventions, and real-world strategies, that can help build insight, emotional regulation and healthier coping skills. I focus not only on reducing substance use and harm reduction but strengthen self-worth, restoring balance, and supporting lasting personal growth.
