Tara Pruden
I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over 15 years of experience providing individual, group and family therapy. If you've ever felt pushed too hard by a therapist to talk about the details of trauma you've survived, I'm here to tell you there's a better path forward. Trauma often causes drama, but it doesn’t have to be that way. I can help you learn to manage your body's response to triggers so that you can work towards feeling safe instead of sensing danger everywhere. Not only will this give you ore inner peace, but it will help you connect with others in a healthier way. If you’re looking to settle your inner turmoil or have more stable, satisfying relationships, know that you have the power to learn new skills to make your life better. You are stronger and more resilient than you realize. The fact that you’re here seeking help tells me that you’re ready to make a change. The first step can be scary and overwhelming, so if you’re looking to ease in to a new way of being and doing, let’s connect!
Areas of Expertise
Therapeutic Approach
Over the past decade, I have been fortunate to participate in a culture shift towards trauma-informed treatment, prompting me to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional in 2021. Witnessing the positive effects this approach has in comparison to traditional talk therapy has been both humbling and inspiring, and I am constantly seeking to expand my knowledge and skill set to more effectively help others. I am committed to providing strengths-based, compassionate care to help people become more self-directed in managing their emotional needs. I believe that sometimes a little humor can make the healing process easier, but only if you are open to this! I am flexible in my treatment approach and welcome collaboration.
